Year-round work

Why us

The job is hard. The shop shouldn't be.

Roofing and exterior work is demanding. We can't change the weather, the heights, or the early starts — but we can absolutely change everything else about the day.

Pay that respects the trade

Honest hourly rates plus overtime, performance bonuses on completed jobs, and yearly reviews tied to skills, not vibes.

Year-round work

Roofing in summer, snow & ice in winter, exterior in shoulder seasons. We rotate crews across Praetoria divisions so paycheques don't stop in November.

Real safety program

Company-issued PPE, paid safety training, fall-protection tickets, WCB coverage, and a crew lead who has stop-work authority.

Apprentice to journeyman

Skill matrix with signed-off competencies. Tuition support for ticketed training (FA, fall arrest, aerial work platform, Class 3).

Health & life

Extended health and dental options after probation, EAP access, and a culture that lets you take the call when family needs you.

Profit-sharing on milestones

When the crew hits quality and safety targets, the crew gets paid. End-of-season bonuses and crew-leader equity options.

The little things

Coffee on the truck, water and electrolytes in summer, hot meals on long days, and a real Christmas party where the boss buys.

Clear path forward

Labourer → installer → crew lead → estimator → division ops. We promote from within — most of our leads started on the rip-off shovel.

Culture

What we actually believe.

Posters lie. Behaviour doesn't. Here is what you'll see on day one — and on day a thousand.

Crew first, always

Decisions get made with the people who will live with them. The truck has a vote.

Quality over quantity

We turn down work that we can't do right. The 10-year warranty is real, so the install has to be.

Safe goes home

If a foreman says stop, work stops. No bonus, no schedule, no customer pressure overrides that.

Diverse and welcoming

Indigenous, immigrant, women in trades — we hire on character and craft. Polished English not required; respect is.

Year-round, by season

No layoff November.

We rotate crews across Praetoria divisions so trade workers can stay employed 12 months a year. Here's how the year tends to look.

Apr – Oct

Roofing, siding, exterior, eavestrough

Nov – Mar

Snow & ice, indoor maintenance, training season

Year-round

Office, estimating, crew lead, apprentice rotations

From the crew

Don't take our word for it.

"I started carrying shingles off the truck. Two years later I'm running my own crew and they paid for my Class 3. They mean what they say about promoting from within."

Marcus T.

Crew Lead, Regina

"Best safety culture I've been on. The lead actually does the toolbox talk every Monday and writes it down. My old job pretended."

Dustin R.

Roofer, 4 yrs

"I'm new to Canada and my English wasn't great. They were patient, paired me with a mentor, and now I'm a full installer with my own apprentice."

Sahil K.

FAQ

Asked often, answered honestly.

Do I need formal trade school?+

No. We hire labourers and apprentices with zero experience and train them. Trade school helps but is not required.

Where will I be working?+

Most work is in Regina and southern Saskatchewan. Project crews occasionally travel to Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Brandon, or Winnipeg — travel is paid.

Is it really year-round?+

Yes for full-time staff. We rotate crews into Snow & Ice, indoor maintenance, training, and equipment refit through winter. Seasonal roles are also available.

Are you union?+

We're an independent shop. We pay competitively, run an active safety program, and offer benefits comparable to or better than union rates for most roles.

What about WCB and insurance?+

Yes — WCB Saskatchewan in good standing and $5M CGL. See our Safety & Compliance page for details.

Do you sponsor work permits / PR?+

Case by case. We've supported LMIA and PR pathways for proven team members. Apply and we'll discuss honestly.

We hire on character first, skills second, resumes third.

If that sounds like a place you'd like to spend your career, we'd love to meet you.
